Summer break

Its the end of art school for another year and I am looking forward to going to Sydney for a couple of weeks for R&R. I was a little disappointed with a B+ for Visual Art Context because I did not nail my creative idea visually. Instead I circled the central idea with images of symbolic environments which should have lead to the character Epi Kapozi, the main focus. But with so much work in the last weeks of school, I simply lost sight of Epi. Epi Kapozi is a fictitious Niuean character I have been composing over several months. My plan for 2013 is to create an artwork for Applied Media- for the first Semester. At this stage I am generating ideas on my studio wall at home. Also. I am undergoing a self-directed project of doing 100 quick small sketches a day in my workbook. This project is to help gather my numerous creative ideas together and reorganize those ideas at the start of school, so as I will be able to hit the ground running. At this stage I am researching Figurative Sculpture as a possibility (American Sculptor George Segal)but a gut-feeling tells me to go with my strength- Drawing?

End of semester 2

Made the deadline for creative tech BCT 2, thanks to my tutor Tang for my print output. Presentation for the same subject went reasonably well. My display was not the same as stated in my proposal. I did not have 3 posters to exhibit on the wall. But my 11 page comic strip turned out reasonably well considering it is my first real attempt at rendering digital art in P

CHOP 1

Early start this morning. Sat at my art station and straighted the mess around me. CHOPSTYX project has stalled because of the flu. My project is endlessly changing-I will have to seal it as final work SOON!. Looking at cool and innovative comic artists such as the Brazilian twins Gabriel and Fabio Ba.

                         exercise.Trying to draw with the computer mouse does not help.
