Wednesday Moon painting

There was a crescent moon over Mount Cook the other night.
I made a note of it in my notebook and looked forward to attacking
                               my picture plain at school.

Large work

Another large work I am developing.  Perspective elements
accidentally appear through the haze.I like where this is going.
An painter that has caught my attention is  Peter Doig.

Friday session

Continuing from Friday's session, I was thinking
of Polynesian canoe voyaging. The horizon and
mountains. There are no mountains on Niue Island.

My school space. I seem to work better at school than at home.
I think it's because I am continually inspired by the other students.

Website

Student vacation was spent reading HTML5 books and tutorials. The markup language has lead to CSS and Javascript. My website is almost complete. The final workout is testing on various computers.  Hopefully I will have the webste operating before school commences.

               FONUA IKI

               Digital collage study.

Typography

I finally get the whole thing about Typography. The history, the critical thinking and analysis, the
polarization of typographers and designers. I spent the summer reading material on Typography and
design, which has altered my creative art thinking in a way that I am becoming increasingly aware of
my city environment.

As I walk the streets of the one of the smallest capitals in the world, I peer at street advertising. No one can avoid it. It's in your face. The world is advertising itself,  in a multitude of typefaces, colors, on paper, in moving images, fashion, on bus tops, advertising is ubiquitous and so therefore Typography is ubiquitous.

                                                               Typography is history.
